About Crypto Ramp Hub
Why we started
Crypto Ramp Hub exists because moving between dollars and crypto is still harder than it should be. We watched people lose money to hidden fees, get stuck in support queues, and give up on perfectly legitimate transactions. The big exchanges treat on-ramps as a feature; we treat them as the product. That focus is the whole company.
We are not an exchange. We do not run a trading desk or hold customer funds. We build the infrastructure that connects bank accounts, cards, and wallets, and we obsess over the parts that usually go wrong: settlement times, fee transparency, and what happens when a payment fails at 2 a.m.
What we do
Our rails let people buy crypto with a debit card or ACH transfer, sell back to a bank account, and use a Crypto Ramp Hub card to spend balances without a manual conversion step. Behind each of those flows is a set of partnerships with licensed payment processors and custodians. We handle the routing, compliance checks, and reconciliation so the experience is one screen instead of five.
We publish our fee schedule in full and show the exact amount a user will receive before they confirm. If a partner adds a spread, it appears in the quote. We do not bury costs in an exchange rate.
How we make money
We charge a flat percentage per transaction and a small monthly fee for the card. We do not earn from order flow, and we do not take a cut of spreads. That choice makes our revenue smaller than it could be, but it keeps the incentive aligned with getting users the best available rate.
Who we are
Crypto Ramp Hub was founded in 2021 by a team that had worked on payment rails at a regional bank and on compliance at a crypto custodian. We saw the same failure from both sides: legacy systems could not talk to crypto systems, and crypto systems treated fiat as an afterthought. The company is remote-first with 34 employees across the US, and our support team is in-house, not outsourced.
We are backed by payments operators, not venture firms looking for a quick flip. Our board includes a former state banking regulator and a payments engineer who built ACH settlement tools. They ask hard questions about risk, and that has kept us out of several markets we were not ready for.
What we will not do
We will not list a token or asset just because it is trending. We will not offer leverage or derivatives. We will not process transactions for jurisdictions where we are not licensed, and we will not quietly change our fees without notice. If we cannot serve a customer well, we would rather say so than take the fee and hope.
Where we are going
Our roadmap is boring on purpose: faster settlement, broader bank coverage, and clearer receipts. We are working on instant ACH settlement with two partner banks and on a card that shows the crypto balance and the dollar value side by side without a toggle. Neither is glamorous. Both remove a step that currently causes mistakes.
We measure success by the number of support tickets per thousand transactions, not by volume. That number has fallen every quarter since launch, and it is the metric we report to our board first.
